How did my bill increase?

There are several factors that a person needs to consider when they see their recent light & water bill.

1. The consumption a customer used compared to July 24-August 23, 2020 and July 24-August 23, 2021. These should be more due to hotter days during these time periods; typically a house will use more units.
2. The Power Cost Adjustment factor was .0019 in 2020 and .0189 in 2021. This rate is calculated from our supplier and is changed as the adjustment is made every month.
3. City of Watonga passed an increase in electric at 3%; garbage at 3%; water at 4% and sewer at 4% for the 2021-2022 fiscal budget year. The August 31, 2021 bill is the first one in which the increases were added.
   The notices of these changes were on the July 2021 and August 2021 mailed light and water invoice.
