Notice to Citizens of Watonga Regarding Use of Parks and Splash Pad
Watonga Parks are currently open to the public. The Parks Department requests that citizens follow State of Oklahoma recommendations when using public spaces.
Splash Pad to Open Memorial Weekend
10 am to 8 pm
Due to COVID-19 the City of Watonga Splashpad located at Huff-Lorang Park will be subject to CDC guidelines. If you have concerns of social distancing, DO NOT ENTER THE SPLASHPAD. The water at this facility is not treated with chlorine or bromine. The surfaces are not sanitized throughout the day. If you choose to enter the facility, you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK. The City of Watonga Parks Department staff will disinfect high-touch surfaces in restrooms at least daily following CDC guidelines.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends the following guidelines for use of public spaces to help the prevent the spread of COVID-19.
- Please continue to maintain social distancing—stay 6 feet apart
- Wash your hands for 20 seconds with warm water and soap
- Stay home if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19
- Limit gatherings to 10 people or less until guidelines are reevaluated by the State of Oklahoma
